Earth Day Artwork

Even though we did not get to celebrate Earth day together, my students participated in a few activities at home through virtual learning assignments.

Here are some drawings inspired by nature that my students submitted. Some used Artforkidshub.com to draw the heart shaped earth while some made their own original drawings.

Students also learned about different types of symmetry and studied the artist Andy Goldsworthy. I showed them the following two videos and allowed them to choose to make a work of art out of natural materials they found outside that either showed radial symmetry or bilateral symmetry.
