Students learned about the Italian surrealist painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo who was known for his portraits made of food and flowers. I introduced the artist to students by sharing this Art with Mati and Dada episode on him.

I challenged my students to create their own portrait using food items or drawing a picture of food to create shapes of a face. What they came up with made me smile so big!
