El Dia De Los Muertos - 4th Grade
4th Grade is learning about the Day of the Dead and Hispanic cultural traditions. We talked about common misconceptions and how it is a celebration of remembrance for friends and family members who have died. We compared altars they use with gravesite tomb stones and discussed the difference between the two. We then made our own calaveras using a tracing technique to make sure the skull and the decoration were symmetrical.
