Pre K Fairy Tales
PreK has been reading fairy tale stories in their classroom the past couple of weeks. One including, The Three Little Pigs. The day after they read the story in class, I showed an animated film of the story and we talked about the kids of materials that the pigs used to build their houses. We did some story sequencing and talked about which pigs were successful and why. PreK students then drew their three little housed and used shreaded paper for the straw house, small red sqaures for the brick house, and pop sickle sticks for the house made of sticks.
The next week we focused on, Little Red Riding Hood, and we watched another video of that story. We talked about how the big bad wolf appears in both stories and how he is usually the bad guy. PreK then made their own wolves by tearing brown paper and pasting it to a paper plate. We assembled the face together step by step. They turned out super cute!
